Connecticut House Speaker’s (and candidate for Congress) campaign aides charged with bribery offenses

It’s getting interesting in Connecticut, fortunately before House Speaker Chris Donovan (D-CT) ascends to the United States House of Representatives.

Yesterday, the finance director for the Congressional campaign of Donovan was arrested on charges of conspiracy to conceal the source of contributions to the Donovan campaign.  The donations were meant to influence voting on “roll your own cigarette” legislation.

It appears the charges are supported by FBI recordings of key conversations.

Does this guy belong in Congress?

MSNBC has the story here.
