Sylvestre Reyes defeated in Texas — voters again reject corruption

Voters care about corruption, democrat and republican.

That was made evident again last night in the defeat by Texas voters of corrupt Representative Sylvestre Reyes (D-TX) in the democrat Primary by upstart challenger Beto O’Rourke.

Reyes became the third incumbent House member defeated by a non-incumbent this year, the other two being Ohio Republican Representative Jean Schmidt who was defeated in January. and Pennsylvania Democratic Representative Tim Holden who was defeated in April.

Reyes is accused of improperly using campaign funds to pay family members.  Schmidt had been accused of accepting nearly one-half million from a Turkish special interest group in payment of her legal fees against a political opponent.
